Sabine 72-Hour Release Records
The official Sabine County Sheriff page did not expose a roster, a 72-hour release view, or an archive when checked. No exact feed URL, published cadence, field list, or online retention period exists to present. A commercial list should not be substituted for the absent county product.
Instead, ask for the jail release log across a defined 72-hour interval. Sabine County's public-information page routes Sheriff Department requests by U.S. mail or hand delivery. It does not authorize email or fax for those sheriff requests. The request should say whether the period includes its start and end instants and should name the local time zone.
See the official sheriff contact page and its lack of a release archive.

The official screen supports a contact-and-records path, not a claim that a hidden feed exists.
Define Sabine's Three-Day Window
“Last 72 hours” is not always the same as three named calendar dates. A rolling interval counted back from Monday afternoon begins Friday afternoon. A Friday-through-Sunday request, by contrast, may include a different set of events. State the endpoints to avoid an incomplete response or a dispute over the intended range.
| Window detail | What to write |
|---|---|
| Start | Calendar date and exact local time |
| End | Calendar date and exact local time |
| Time zone | Central Time |
| Event scope | Community releases and transfers |
| Records sought | Release log, jail register, and code legend |
A precise window matters around daylight-saving changes too. If the purpose is to capture an entire weekend, say so and include the intended hours rather than assuming staff will infer them.
Check Sabine Three-Day Releases
Call 409-787-2266 first if the immediate question is current custody. Then preserve the wider historical question in writing. The county jail register and booking-out material are more useful for this task than a live status screen because they identify an event that already occurred.
- Fix the 72-hour endpoints and list known name or booking details.
- Ask for all release and transfer entries during that span, not just people marked “released.”
- Request release time, release type, booking number, cause number, and receiving agency where recorded.
- Ask for any abbreviation or disposition-code legend used in the response.
- Mail the request to Sabine County Sheriff, P.O. Box 848, Hemphill, TX 75948, or deliver it by hand.
- Check the court record or destination custody system for the event's meaning.
Use 24-Hour Releases when the desired period is strictly same-day. Use Home for a deeper search focused on one named person.
Sabine 72-Hour Fields
There is no published Sabine County web-feed schema. These are targeted request fields drawn from the researched jail-record inventory. Some may require clarification or lawful redaction, and no claim is made that all appear on one form.
| Field | Reason to request it |
|---|---|
| Name and identifiers | Avoids joining two people with similar names. |
| Booking number | Links the exit to the correct custody episode. |
| Release date and time | Tests inclusion in the 72-hour interval. |
| Release type or disposition code | Separates bond, time served, dismissal, and other results. |
| Receiving agency | Identifies a transfer rather than community release. |
| Charge and cause number | Locates the authorizing court record. |
Bond amount or type and bond-posting information may also help explain an exit. A jail timestamp proves the physical event, while the judicial file proves what the court ordered.
Sabine Weekend Release Lag
A three-day request is useful when a Friday event is not checked until Monday or when a holiday interrupts routine contact. Yet a longer window does not make a database more current. Booking-out entry, approval, transport, and later publication can occur at different times. The response date also differs from the release date.
Ask for the event timestamp, not merely the date a report was produced. If the response contains a status but no time, seek the underlying booking-out or release form. The Texas jail-register series is permanent. Booking-out, transfer, release-order, and related records have a minimum retention period of release or transfer plus two years under the cited state schedule.
Note: A three-day span catches more events, but each event still needs its own release code and custody interpretation.
Verify Sabine Release Outcomes
The destination determines the next source. A community release on bond may be checked against the relevant court record. County-level criminal matters route through the County Clerk, while district felony matters can involve the 1st or 273rd Judicial District Court and the District Clerk. Start with the cause number and offense level.
A transfer to TDCJ should be checked through the TDCJ inmate search after intake processing. IVSS-Counties is the current Texas county notification portal, but Sabine participation was not conclusively established and its own warning says people no longer in custody may be omitted. Neither a missing portal result nor the end of Sabine custody proves freedom from all custody.
| Record result | Next check |
|---|---|
| Bond or court release | Matching cause and court order |
| Transfer to state custody | TDCJ intake and offender record |
| Transfer to another county | Named receiving jail or sheriff |
| Federal or immigration pickup | Appropriate federal agency channel |
Sabine Records Beyond 72 Hours
Missing the rolling period does not erase the official trail. Ask for the permanent PS4200-06a jail-register entry, including the release or transfer date. Seek PS4200-10 booking-out or release forms, legal release orders, and transfer papers when more detail is needed. That route is stronger than an undated screenshot because it preserves record provenance.
Texas Government Code Chapter 552 governs access and exceptions. If part of a response is withheld, ask for the legal basis and accept proper redaction. An expunction, meaning a court process that can require destruction or return of qualifying records, or an order of nondisclosure can change access. Do not infer that an old copy remains current after a court order or source correction.
Keep the response envelope, request copy, and any code legend. Those details show which office answered and what interval it searched. If a booking-out form and register entry show different times, ask the sheriff which field represents the physical departure. Administrative entry time can lag the actual handoff or exit.
Interpret Sabine Release Codes
A 72-hour group can mix community releases with transfers. Bond, time served, dismissal, probation, parole, and agency abbreviations carry different meanings. A person released on one cause can still be held on another. A person sent to TDCJ or picked up on a detainer has left the local facility but remains confined.
Request the full code legend rather than guessing from a short label. For a bond event, compare the booking entry with the bond instrument and court docket. For time served, look for the judgment and jail-credit finding. For a transfer, record the receiving agency and transfer time. If a response says only “released,” ask whether that term includes transfers and whether another active hold was recorded.
- Rolling window
- A period measured backward from a fixed end time.
- Calendar window
- A span defined by named dates and clock times.
- Release code
- An agency label describing how a booking ended.
- Receiving agency
- The authority that accepts custody after a transfer.
Sabine App Is Not a Feed
The county sheriff page displays a QR code for the official Sabine County Sheriff, TX app. Its Apple and Android descriptions advertise news, alerts, tips, and communication. Neither listing promises inmate lookup, recent releases, or mugshots.
Review the official app description.

The screenshot should prevent the app from being mistaken for a verified three-day release product.
Confirm Sabine Three-Day Records
Keep the exact requested interval, the response date, and the source with each result. The release code and receiving agency are as important as the person's name.
